This is our current film poster, although this may change due to audience feedback. The quality of the photo could also be better too.

Final Magazine Photo
After our first idea not working as well as we hoped we took another set of photos for our magazine and we chose this one and made the background darker and faded it out. This photo is a lot more effective than our first one as is it centred and follows the magazine conventions we found from our research:
- Posed photo
- Character from the film in costume
- Photo takes up most of the space on the magazine

First Magaizne Draft
Film Magazine - First Draft
This photo was originally chosen for our film poster, but we decided to add text and a general magazine layout to it to see if it would work. From this we found that a more centred photo would be better so that we could work the text around the photo to frame it and add a focal point/

Film Name Ideas and Decision
We had been trying to decide the name for our horror trailer for a while, these are the names we have come up with:
- Unmasked
- Masked
- Concealed
- Under the mask
- From the shadows
- Out of the shadows
We decided on the name 'CONCEALED', as this word represents the fact that the main character/stalker is concealed behind a mask.
Media Lesson - 12/12/13
In todays lesson we edited our film trailer once again, after knowing it lacked pace and a real link between the killer, detective and the girls who are kidnapped we asked our teacher for their advice. Some of the things we need to reshoot are:
- The female detective looking at the camera saying 'there wasn't one'
- The male detective looking at the camera saying 'what was the outcome?'
- The female detective saying 'Who knows when he'll strike again'
- Shot of the bottom half of Amara's face pulling down the mask - To make the audience question who the stalker really is
- A knife dropping for the trailer end build up
- Extreme close up of Jodi and Chelsea tied up
- Mid shot of Chelsea in the boot
- Close up of Chelsea talking into the phone saying something along the lines of 'I'm scared'
- Shot of stalker looking up with the mask, black to the mask
- Phone call between female detective and stalker
- The stalker saying 'You have till midnight'
- Silhouette of stalker walking towards/away from camera
- Extreme close up of stalker with/without mask
- Chelsea saying 'watch it' or 'what the hell' when the car pulls out

Media Lesson - 22/11/13
In todays lesson we started to re-plan our storyboard as after putting what we had filmed already together it seemed very slow-paced so we decided to add a lot more shots and take some out so the it was more like a trailer.

Filming - 10/11/13
Today we went back to re-film the parts that didn't work well the first time (car park and swing scene), We chose a completely different location for the car park scene as the yellow/orange tinted lights seemed to be more effective. We also had to focus on the lighting and how to add light to certain shots as once they're uploaded they seem to be darker.

Media Lesson - 8/11/13
After looking through all of the footage we have so far, we tried to put together our idea based on our storyboard. Although we found out that it seemed to be more like a film opening as the shots seemed to drag on. We also made a list of thins we needed to add or re-film to make if more effective:
- Establishing shot of police station
- Close up of police woman "A numerous amount of girls have been taken"
- Door bell ringing, close up of Jodi opening the door
- Text screen, saying something to make the audience think, for example - 'What if no one knew you was gone..' etc
- Shot from the side looking at Jodi peer out of the door and looking around
- Panning shot of Jodi walking into the living room and turning off the Tv covering up the man in the mask, follows Jodi turning off the tv and stops on the man in the mask
- Extreme close up of police woman "This has to stop"
- Close up of Jodi's leg being grabbed
- Long shot of Jodi being pulled away from the camera screaming
- Text screen
- Establishing shot of traffic going by

New Idea
Horror Trailer
We put together our thoughts of what should be in our trailer developed from our new direction of an investigation. We thought of few settings, ways the girls could be kidnapped and what props we would need:

Second Storyboard
After our first storyboard, we wanted to keep the same concepts but add more detail and make it more into a trailer we started re-planning the beginning of it to make it more like a trailer and less like a film opening.

First Storyboard
First Storyboard Plan
We decided on a potential plot, the idea of this story board is it starts off as a break up between both a boy and a girl, after the girl tells the boy that she doesn't think it is working anymore, the boy then begins to get angry and because of this angry side he makes it his personal mission to make the girl pay.
After this start of our storyboard, we then started to replan it and storyboard our ideas again:

Initial Ideas
We decided to put together all of our initial ideas and brainstorm them together, we came up with all of the different types of horror films (Kidnappings, suicide) The very first idea we came up with was the idea of basing our horror film on a real life story that has happened in the past but change parts of it. From our research we also found out a weapon use so we listed the ones we saw in the trailers we analysed.

Film Poster Analysis - Sinister - Chelsea Neil
Film Poster Analysis
I have analysed the film poster of Sinister, Sinister was created in 2012. It is under the horror/mystery/thriller genre. The story plot is: A true-crime writer finds a cache of 8mm home movies films that suggest the murder he is currently researching is the work of a serial killer whose career dates back to the 1960s.
Film Poster Analysis - The Uninvited - Chelsea Neil
Film Poster Analysis
I have analysed a film poster of the uninvited film. The uninvited was created in 2009 and is in the drama/horror/thriller genre. The plot of the film is the following: Anna Rydell returns home to her sister (and best friend) Alex after a stint in a mental hospital, though her recovery is jeopardized thanks to her cruel stepmother, aloof father and the presence of aghost in their home.
Film Poster Analysis The Woman in Black - Amara Bullen
I have chosen the poster for 'The Woman In Black' as it caught my eye as effective and interesting.
It includes everything that is needed to explain the film as a still image which I will be talking about.
For a start, the main character is displayed and takes up the majority of the page. He is positioned to the left of the page using the rule of thirds to make the display look aesthetically pleasing. His face is pale, giving a ghostly affect. The expression is minimal not giving any hints as to how he's feeling to make people to watch it to find out.
The title 'The Woman In Black' is in capital letters in a bold font that stands out. The haze of a cold, blue colour surrounds the text, drawing attention to what it's saying so that people will remember the name. The name of the film is short and easy to remember.

His eye colour is emphasised as a very light blue to make people feel cold. This links in with his pale face.
The background around him is dull, making the man's face stand out more.
In the darkness a ghostly figure is shown, blurred for a mysterious affect.
Daniel Radcliffe's name is showed at the top of the poster in the same font used as the rest of the page to keep it consistent. In the darkness a ghostly figure is shown, blurred for a mysterious affect.

More text saying 'Do you believe in ghosts?' is shown slightly smaller that the title. This rhetorical question appears to be shown over the image of a ghostly face. The question makes viewers answer it in their heads but also gets them to feel like they do or will do if they saw the movie
